What to Expect
Floating is a transforming experience that benefits the body, mind, and soul. Below are a few things you can expect from a sensory deprivation float session:
Loss of GravityAt Vital Float Centre, our float rooms hold roughly one foot of water, which is saturated with approximately 1000 lbs. of Epsom salt. This expertly designed solution creates a density that allows for a person to float on the surface of the water. Some have described this feeling as 'loss of gravity'.
TemperatureThe Epsom salt saturated water is kept at a temperature of around 93-95°F / 34-35°C, which is the average external temperature of your body. When the water is heated to the same temperature of the body, the floater can begin to lose track of where their own body ends and the water begins. Neat, huh?
Light & Sound
The Vital Float Centre rooms are insulated against sound. When you turn off the lights, your floating space will become completely dark.
